CAFOD HARVEST FAST DAY - Friday 5 October: Cafod has asked that we use this day to make an urgent appeal for funds to support Zimbabwe's most vulnerable people. Please take an envelope for your donation as you leave Church today and return it next weekend.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION: The first of our nine themes is 'Celebrating'.

Each theme is centred on a specific action in family living, in the life of Jesus, and in a particular part of the Mass. The action of 'Celebrating' is related in the story of the Wedding Feast at Cana. When we gather together as the family of God, we celebrate and praise God. Today at the 11am Mass we celebrate the Rite of Enrolment of Names

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION: Our young people meet again on Thursday next (4 October) at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.

WELCOMING PEOPLE INTO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH: Our meetings for those inquiring about entry into the Catholic Church restart on Tuesday 2 October, 7.30pm in the Upper Room. If you know of anyone who might be interested please bring them along.

CARECENT HARVEST APPEAL - it's that time of year again when Carecent is stocking up the pantry. A basket will be in the Church by the 'gifts' table each weekend of October to receive any of the items that are listed in the Church porch.

MUSIC DAY, Saturday 20 October, 11am - 4pm with Paul Inwood, noted composer and Director of Music for Portsmouth Diocese at St Joseph's Church, Green Lane, Newby, Scarborough. The Day if free of charge - bring a packed lunch. See poster for further details.

ADULT FORMATION: The Diocesan Handbook of Short Courses is now available in the porch - please take time to have a look on the many courses on offer.
