St Wilfrids RC Church is situated in Duncombe Place, in the centre of York, close to York Minster. It has stood on this site since 1864.You are welcome to join the daily celebration of Mass at any of our services. The Church is open from 7.30am for quiet prayer during the day and closes at approximately 3.00pm (5.00pm in Summer).

The parish of St. Wilfrid is responsible for the running of the shrine of St. Margaret Clitherow, situated in the historic Shambles in York. Mass is celebrated here weekly on Saturday mornings at 10.00am. It is also open to visitors during the week from 8.30am until 6.00pm.
Supported also by the parish is St. Wilfrid's Primary School which is situated in Monkgate, 10 minutes walk away from the Church.
St Wilfrid's parish has a strong local congregation and we welcome a large number of visitors and tourists from all over the world.
The parish priest is the Very Reverend Canon Michael Ryan.
