Br Benedict

IMG_1362Br Benedict has discerned that his true vocation lies in the classroom rather than in the Oratory and has decided to return to teaching, the career he has been pursuing for the last six years, first in training here at St John’s University and then at Worth Abbey School. He is as sad to leave as we are to see him go. But we are full of gratitude for the enormous contribution he made to our community in the period of discernment, most especially the last two months in the habit of St Philip. The purpose of the novitiate is to enable this discernment to take place.

We wish Br Benedict well in his future life and our prayers go with him. He has many friends here in Yorkshire and we are confident that we will continue to see him from time to time.

Br Benedict will revert to his baptismal name of Eamon. If anyone would like to make contact with him his address for the time being will be: Eamon Manning, 7 Sandown Court, Newbury Road, Worth, Crawley. RH10 7SN eamon.manning@gmail.com
