Ordinariate Use Mass in St Wilfrid's
On Saturday, 20 May the Sheffield Ordinariate will make a pilgrimage to York in honour of Alcuin of York. Missa Cantata according to the Ordinariate Use will take place in Saint Wilfrid's Church at 10.30am.
Everyone is welcome to come to this Mass and to welcome the Sheffield pilgrims to St Wilfrid's.
The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham was established by Pope Benedict XVI in response to the many requests received over the years from Anglican congregations who wished to move as a body into full communion with the Catholic Church while preserving the beauty of their Anglican worship and patrimony. The Ordinariate enriches our Catholic lives, provides a valuable model for our own worship and is pioneering in its ecumenical implications.
Mass according to the Ordinariate Use is said every Thursday at 10.30am in Saint Marie's Cathedral, Sheffield.
