Vocations Evening in York

The joint Leeds - Middlesbrough vocations group met on Wednesday evening at St Wilfrid’s. Eight young men and women from across the two dioceses heard an insightful and helpful talk from Sr Anne of the Sisters of the Cross and Passion on St Ignatius of Loyola’s Rules for the Discernment of Spirits.

Afterwards there was a Holy Half Hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament with an opportunity for Confession and Vespers.

During Exposition we heard some prayers of Blessed John Henry Newman from our own Oratorian tradition that can be helpful in guiding us in finding our vocation in life.

Afterwards we all adjourned to the Rectory for a convivial pasta supper.
