French Ambassador meets children from St Wilfrid's School


Children from St Wilfrid's School led a campaign for a permanent memorial to a French airman whose actions in the Second World War saved some of York's ancient heritage from destruction during the notorious Baedeker bombing raids. The French Ambassador recently came to York to unveil the plaque and met the children who began the campaign after a school project. Read the report in the Yorkshire Evening Press.
