Thursday 3rd June is the feast of Corpus Christi, and then the next week, beginning on the feast of the Sacred Heart, we are keeping the Forty Hours' Devotion, when the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed above our altar.

There will be first Vespers of Corpus Christi and Benediction at 6pm on Wednesday 2nd June.

There will be a Sung Mass (Latin EF) at 6pm on Thursday 3rd June, followed by a Procession of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.

The Forty Hours will run as follows:

Friday 11th, 6pm: Solemn Mass of Exposition

celebrated by Rt Revd Robert Byrne, Cong. Orat., Bishop of Hexham & Newcastle

Duruflé - Missa cum jubilo
Liszt - Anima Christi
Viadana - Ave verum
Saint-Saens - O salutaris

9pm: Sung Compline, followed by all-night vigil

Saturday 12th, 8am: Matins & Lauds (Gregorian chant)

12.10pm: Low Mass

5pm: Sung Mass for Peace

6pm: Sung Vespers

9pm: Sung Compline (Deposition at midnight)

Sunday 13th, 12 noon: Solemn Mass & Procession
