Day with Mary
Parishioners of St Wilfrid's and others from around York were joined by a good crowd of visitors from as far afield as Sunderland and Preston for the Day with Mary. After a beautiful Votive Mass of Our Lady of Sorrows with singing by our own choir and the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate there was a procession through the streets to the Shrine of St Margaret Clitherow in the Shambles. Fr Richard gave a talk at lunchtime about the Christian history of York. The afternoon was more meditative with Exposition, Rosary and other devotions. Many thanks to all those who worked so hard to make the day a success. To see some video footage of the day, please click here.
