Readers proclaim the Word of God at all Masses. Regular meetings are open to all. Non-readers welcome.

Ministers of the Eucharist

Distribute the Eucharist at Mass and bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound in the parish and in the hospitals.

Altar Servers

Minister at all Masses. Enquiries from new servers are always welcome.

Music Ministry

We have a team of organists and cantors who lead our Sunday Liturgies. Our Music Group meets regularly in the Rectory. If you play a musical instrument you are most welcome to attend.

Liturgy Preparation

All interested in our Liturgies are welcome to join in the preparation. Our meetings take place on the first Thursday in each month at 7.30pm. All are welcome.

Flower Arranging

The group arranges the flowers for our Liturgical Celebrations. New members are always welcome.

Hospitality Group

The group welcome us as we arrive for Sunday Mass. After the 11.00am Mass coffee is served, providing an opportunity for parishioners and visitors to meet.

Church Cleaning

Teams work in rotas to keep the church clean and beautiful.

St Vincent De Paul Society

The SVP visit the sick, housebound and patients in hospital weekly. Meetings are held every Thursday in the Rectory at 7.30pm.

Legion of Mary

Meet at 3.00pm on Tuesdays in the Upper Room.

Finance Committee

The committee meets regularly and is currently promoting the parish to enable us to meet our future fundraising commitments.

Collectors, Counters, Bankers and the Fundraising Group

Play an important part in the running of the parish. Recently our parish assessment from the diocese has almost trebled.

Parish Forum

This is an open meeting where the priest and people meet to discuss matters of common interest. The summaries of the recent forum and past forums are published on this web site.

Other church societies meet regularly in the Upper Room, these include CWL, York Walsingham Association and the Lourdes Fundraising Group.
