Baptism

Parents are invited to a Baptisim Preparation Course - a series of four, one hour, weekly meetings. Please contact Canon Michael or ring the Rectory for more information.

First Holy Communion Preparation

The First Holy Communion Preparation for the children of the Parish begins each September. There are monthly meetings for parents, a monthly gathering for the children and also a celebration in Church.

Reconciliation

We celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation every Saturday from 10.30am - 12.00pm. Services for the local community take place twice yearly in Advent and Lent.

Confirmation

The Sacrament is celebrated about every third year. Candidates please contact Canon Michael.

Marriage

Preparation courses take place at St Bede's Pastoral Centre, Blossom Street. Couples wishing to marry in St. Wilfrid's are asked to speak to Canon Michael or to contact the Rectory.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

This is a process by which new members are welcomed into the community. Weekly meetings take place on Tuesdays in the Upper Room 7.30 - 8.45pm. Parishioners build up the Church by sharing their faith with enquirers.
