St Wilfrid's Primary School is a voluntary aided school for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 11. The school has occupied the Monkgate site since 1891. There are currently 262 pupils at the school.

All Saints Secondary School is the Catholic comprehensive school for York's children. Details can be found on the All Saint's web site.

All Saints lower site occupies some of the buildings in the Bar Convent, a former Catholic girls grammar school run by nuns of the IBVM. The Bar Convent also contains a museum telling the story of Mary Ward, it's founder.

St Bede's Pastoral Centre can also be found in the nunnery buildings.
