LOVE IN TRUTH -'Caritas in Veritate'. Bishop Terry invites the whole diocese young people and adults alike - to join together in a special project for Lent 2010. The plenary session takes place on Saturday 13 March in English Martyrs: 10.00am- 1pm. John Battle MP will be the keynote speaker. Please see poster for further details

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION: 'Sharing'. We reflect on the action of Jesus in the story of the Feeding of the 5,000 (John 6:1-11). During the dialogue which opens the Eucharistic Prayer, we join with the priest in giving thanks for the love God shares with us as a family. When we share, we live the life of the Eucharist. CHRISM MASS - Tuesday 30 March at the Cathedral, Middlesbrough. The coach leaves the Memorial Gardens at 9,30am and Our Lady's 9.45am. If you would like a seat on the coach please put your name on the list in the porch. Cost £7 and refreshments after Mass £3.50.
ARCHBISHOP OSCAR ROMERO : A service to mark the 30th anniversary of the martyrdom of Archbishop Oscar Romero will take place on Saturday 20 March at 11am in York Minster. Cardinal Keith O'Brien of Edinburgh will lead the ecumenical service. The preacher will be Dr John Sentamu. Bishop Terence Drainey and the Chair of the Methodist Conference will also take part.
YEAR FOR PRIESTS: If any young people are thinking that the priesthood or religious life is a possibility for them, a meeting takes place on Wednesday 26 May at 7pm at English Martyrs Church. Please have a word with Canon Michael for more information.
