Celebrate Yorkshire Day with Cake and a Cuppa at St Joseph's
After hearing so much about the effects of loneliness and isolation in North Yorkshire, BBC Radio York began Cake and a Cuppa. The idea is to give everyone a chance to get together to have a good natter and meet old friends and make new ones. BBC Radio York wants to make the event on Yorkshire Day the biggest ever. We’ll be hosting a Cake and a Cuppa event at St Joseph’s Hall on Yorkshire Day, 1 August, from 1 – 3pm. If you can help by providing cakes (we hope we’ll need lots) please see Hilary Topham or Fr Richard. Remainders will be sold off the next Sunday for Macmillan Cancer Care, so don’t worry about having too many. If you know anyone who could do with an afternoon out, please bring them along.
