The Philippine ministry of hearing confessions is one of our most important charisms as Oratorians. St Philip Neri transformed Rome in the sixteenth century by hearing thousands upon thousands of confessions - fishing with a line, one soul at a time.
All Christians are called to holiness, and we shall never achieve this without first repenting. The one way which the Lord has given us to receive His forgiveness is in the Sacrament of Penance, and individual confession is necessary to receive this grace.
Confessions are heard in our church every day, before every Mass.
Perhaps you haven't been to Confession for a long time? Don't worry! The Fathers of the Oratory are famously gentle in the confessional. Approaching God's infinite mercy will always bring us joy. If you're not sure what to do in Confession, simply ask the priest, and he will help you.
